Does anyone know if a tailgate from a truck will fit a 4runner without mods??? I am getting a softtop for my 4runner and would like to switch the tailgate to a pick up tailgate if it's not a big pita Big Thumb Up Thanks

Not a direct fit.  The mounts and latches are different if I remember right.

i also would like to see this mod done, i have looked online couldnt find anyone who has done a wright up... or for that matter even taken a couple of pictures of it done....

TacoRunner - What width of plate did you use (post #10 in this thread).  Looks to be 5" wide, 1/8" thick.  Any other tips or tricks to making the truck tailgate fit?  Did the hinges just bolt onto the bottom of that plate?  Thanks!
