So what do you use to convert them?


I thought CS3 edited in whatever format you give it. It then converted to whatever you wanted. RAW is just the best format to edit from.

I don't know about the older versions of PS but if you have CS3 or CS4 you can open a photo is any format including RAW. When you're done editing you choose Save As and select the file format you'd like to save it as.

If you're unable to upload a photo to the net with it in RAW format, try another format like .TIFF and maybe that will work. .TIFF is better than .JPEG so if it works than you're good to go. :)

The whole purpose of shooting in RAW (whether you later change it to a less quality format or not) is because it is the most pure format to shoot in. Shooting in RAW captures the most amount of information possible and gives you the most amount of data possible to work with in an editing program. :)
