well I got the boot today $I\'m Down$ after 20 years and 26 days they shut down the sawmill

there will be some straglers left to keep an

on things but thats it

no more mill

I did get my 20 year watch though

Never a better time to go back to school and also start your own business. As more businesses fail, smaller ones are needed to take up the slack(though it'll probably be in a different field...) See, Losing 50% of your sales is deadly to a 100 million dollar a year corporation but those 50% still want or need the products and services when the company's production drops to zero.

Plus, you'll never ever get wealthy working for someone else. Not any more.

congrats on surviving 20 years in a lumber mill! hope you still gots your fingers and toes, sucks they closed, what part of the country are you in?

The wood industry has taken a huge hit this last year. We've had 4 mills running two to three shifts, 7 days a week, and now 1 is shut down, 2 is running on one shift, and the other is only running one week on and one off, with only one shift. And it has affected all the local hauling companies too. You'll figure something out.

Northern California, and as far as I know - he's still got all his fingers. Never seen his toes - phew!!
