I used them on my old 4runner and was very happy with them. I am swapping them over to the new rig and plan to run them in the rear also. My brother runs them front and rear in his 4runner. The only point I would make is I think the 47'" rears will max out a 14" shock just like the 51's will so I don't know how much you really gain. The longer spring does look cool  8).

My brothers 4runner.

I don't remember exactly but the front half is a little longer than the 47" rears. I think the 47's move the axle 1/2" farther forward than the 51's but either one will move it forward when compared to stock.

well i need the axle as far forward as possible because i want to run close to a 40" tire with not that much lift on full width D44s. i have 47" spring also if those would be better. in this pic the 51" spring is sitting with the shackle straight down and no wieght on it.

This is a shot of my brothers rig with 37" MTR and 51" fronts. I ran the same tire with the 51's and had plenty of clearance at the back of the tire. If you think the extra 1/2" to 1" forward is going to make a difference just use the 47's. Either setup should work well.
