got my cage in (bolted for now) and my carpets comming out.  im tired of all the mold and smell durring the winter.  i should be picking up a 22re later this weekend to throw in.  motor, tank wirring, computer and smog equipment for $1000, and it only has 40,000 on the whole motor.

What do i have to do to make it smog legal for california?  my truck is an '85 so it was an option so its legal right?

So i bought a parts truck last weekend  87 ext cab 4x4 for $400.  i bought is so i could put the cab on tho my frame, move my bed back, bob it and have my fender back over my wheel.  im selling most of it besides the cab.  but today i found that the motor is froze up so bad i broke a breaker bar tring to spin it.  so im hoping to get everything ready to do the swap in late march.  i need to cut the inner fenders off and re-weld or rivit them on which will be a pain in my  :moon:. any one done this before? if so any pointers? more pics later this weekend.

nice find, im in the process of swapping a new cab and bed onto my frame also.  sounds like u are gonna have to move the 2 rear cab mounts back, and 4 front bed mounts back, or just 2 if u are lazy.  i only run 4 of the 8 bed mounts on mine

yea ill probly just just move the body mounts back and run 4 bed mounts.  all it needs is enough to hold it on good enough.

works been slow so not much progress....but i just put on a set of marlin 5" springs tonight and i have a few questions.  i had on a set of cheap rancho 4" springs on and when i put on the marlin 5s it sits the same height and flexes the same.  And when my passanger tire is flexed all the way out my drag link from my pitman arm hits my spring. is this normal?  any help or suggestions would be nice..

So fior my cab swap i need to move my tank back 10" but the old anti-lock brake thing is in the way.  Is there any way i can eliminate it without affecting my brakes too bad?   im planning on doing it some time this week so any help or suggestions would be awsome!
Thanks,

so i got my cab all on and driveabe. still a lot of things to do but its good enough for now. it only took me and a buddy one day to do the whole thing whitch was really suprising. moved the bed back 10" to match the cab then bobed 10" out og the back. i still have a lot of body work to do but im glad this job is mostly over.  i need a new color since there are 3 other army green toyotas in town... any ideas? i really like the brown that my drivers fender is but im up for ideas!

Update: fabbed up some half doors this weekend,  I still need to plate them and do some finishing touches.  I also went to the swap meet in Placerville and picked up some corner glass windows for $20, seals and all!  better then $50 each from pick-n-pull....
At the swap meet I also bough some shirts and a  :bling: shifted knob!!!  and i met Marlin too, he gave me some stickers and said thanks for buying his product.  He seems like a real nice guy, i look forward to seeing him on the trail!!
