So at your rate, the 2005 2TR should be about a $3,000 swap in the fall of 2009.I bought my 1995 T100 3RZ for $350 (everything complete) in July of 2004. The following spring we purchased 3 other 3RZ-FEs for around $650-$700 each (everything complete). It would be cool to find a 2TR-FE for about a grand. You know these swaps are gonna start happening soon!

At this point the 3RZ is strong enough that it really doesn't make any sence to go from a 3RZ to a 2TR. Toyota will have to make a 4Cyl 3.0 for me to change mine. And even then I may not, unless they can gain some serious power. Like, say another 40 ft lbs and 30hp.
I agree. BUT, the market will be there for the swap. I'm just curious who is going to cash in on it. If there was more knowledge out there about the swap, and more engines readily available, many would be doing it just b/c of the newness and the extra power. It's just not cost effective right now.
Yes, but you are assuming the power band is wider. Have you seen a dyno yet?
Wow thats really not a very good illistration.
I will post some pics tonight of my 05 2tr in my 94 sidekick. Got some work to get done first.
Well hurry it up then.
Nice, got any pics of the rig?
Thats awesome, I love that thing. Get it running and start posting more pic's. PLEASE. And get it dynoed so we can see what kind of power it makes.
