It's official!!  The MCR will host it's first Remote Control Rock Crawling event.  When you come out to the Round-Up this year, don't forget to pack your R/C Crawler.

The event will be held down at Rubicon Springs with the rest of the MCR events.  It is simple.  Just show up, sign in, pay small fees, run the course.  At this time, the courses will be open most of the day.  There might be a schedule clarification as to not conflict with other events, but for now it will be open for most of the day.

There will be two courses set up, one for Supers and one for 2.2 class rigs.  We will be following the USRCCA (United States R/C Crawling Association) rules for this event.  For class and scoring information, please visit (http://usrcca.com/rules2008.pdf).  If your rig falls outside these rules and there is a big enough chunk of you, we can place you in a special mutant class  .

If you are not into the Competition thing or have a scaler, bring it also.  No reason to not have trail rides as well.

There will be a small entry fee to run the courses.  All proceeds will be donated to helping keep trails open.  Depending on participation and timing of the day, you will be able to purchase multiple course entries to help better your score.  There won't be any fee for trail riding of course.

Prizes, oh yes prizes, will be awarded during the raffle and awards ceremony later that night.  So not only can you get bragging rights, but you might be able to pick up some cool things for your efforts.

We will be pre-signing up here in this post to help us get an idea for how many rigs will be competing at the event.  Just post up your name, what class you will be running, and maybe some details and pictures of your rig.
Example:
SlinkySam, 2.2 Class, Tube buggy on TLT axles.

See you guys there,
-Sam

He would, but i dont have a rig for him.. unless he wants to drive my bruiser lol. Maybe i'll try to stick my old sw2 together for him to use. Ahh i still need to braze my bumpers on my bruiser too. Better get started on that stuff lol. The full size stuff is just as addicting as the rc's.   :)

Alright, we are getting close.  I can't wait to get out wheeling again and crawling with the mini R/C.

Rockhugger

No, it is ok to compete without signing up for the MCR, but you won't be able to enjoy the rest of the MCR stuff going on including the fat raffle.  Marlin always puts on a good event and it is waaaaaaaaaaaay worth the minor cost.
