Official MCR7 Registration Thread --- Sept. 12-14, 2008
« on: May 20, 2008, 01:06:56 PM »
This is it! The Official 7th Annual Marlin Crawler Round-Up Event Information and Registration Thread!

Download the Official Event Registration Form here:
Marlin Crawler 7th Annual Round-Up Event Registration
(Adobe Reader or equivalent is required to view Registration Documentation)

REGISTRATION IS OFFICIALLY CLOSED!!!

This years event will be much different than the past! It will be more organized and better prepared. :clap2:

The cost for this year's event will be different as well, but please allow me to first and foremost state that this is a non-profit fund raising event!

The cost per registration this year will be $40. It will include the following:
  • 1 - Grand Prize Raffle Ticket (only available via registering)
  • 1 - Prepaid Camping Fee ($20 *I think*)
  • 1 - Dash Plaque
  • 1 - T-Shirt
  • 1 - Dinner meal

The goal this year is to raise more money for The Rubithon Foundation than what we did last year. As everyone knows, public access to public land is under extreme pressure and we must fight all we can to make sure these trails stay open FOREVER. Last year we raised $5,135.00 for the Rubicon Trail Foundation -- see the following thread: Marlin Crawler steps up to the plate!! -- and we want to surpass this!

The Marlin Crawler Round Up has and always will be a Customer Appreciation Event. If you attended last years event, then you will greatly appreciate the improvements in store for this years event. We will have full lighting and a true PA speaker system finally! :woohoo:
We will also have an emergency medical technician on site for your safety.

I am still working the details out on this: We will have competition events at or near the Springs camp ground on Saturday such as the first ever Marlin Crawler Turtle Crawl Competition, the first ever Marlin Crawler R/C Rock Crawl Competition, and other various Challenges such as a Horse shoe throw tournament. I am taking suggestion for more events at the following thread: Official MCR7 Saturday Event Suggestions Thread Please help out if interested!

Current list of Planned Saturday Events:
  • Turtle Crawl Competition
  • R/C Rock Crawl Competition
  • Horse shoe throw Tournament
  • Spare Tire Bowling
  • Multiple Kids Games with prizes

Keep your calendar clear and be sure to attend this years event! We will have another huge raffle, so help us raise over $6,000 for the Rubicon trail!

Official Run Channel: CH 10

Marlin Crawler does NOT support any type of Trail Abuse or any kind of Ignorance to our Natural Resources and Public Roads. Marlin Crawler requests that ALL People Attending PLEASE PRINT OUT AND REFER TO THE RUBICON TRAIL: ETHICS AND TREAD LIGHTLY PRINCIPLES website. Please do this right now! Please respect the land that we have and those who care for and work hard to keep these trails open. Any violations of the Rubicon Trail Ethics and Tread Lightly Principles will result in serious and possibly legal repercussions.

Please Tread Lightly at the 7th Annual Marlin Crawler Round Up.

and

Please print out the Rubicon Trail Ethics and Tread Lightly Principles and carry it with you for future reference.

I guess you could have Dan Jr. pick the stuff up for you since he's coming.  Seems like a great father/son event so you should consider coming with him.

 :haha:

I'm working on getting a handheld CB to be in communication if I end up going.  :crossed:

Bike Mike I have a question.

Since I do not know if I will have a rider or not and do not know who it would be if I did. How would I go about filling in the participants box?

It is ok if you leave the box empty. We really need the signature and information for the driver and the registered owner of the rig. It shouldn't be a problem if later you decide to bring a copilot, just make sure you buy an extra meal or bring some extra table scraps :yumyum:

It is ok if you leave the box empty. We really need the signature and information for the driver and the registered owner of the rig. It shouldn't be a problem if later you decide to bring a copilot, just make sure you buy an extra meal or bring some extra table scraps :yumyum:

Thats what I wanted to hear. lol Thank you  :gap:

I will be there!!  For real this time.  Had some family matters last year, but this time I have it burned into the calendar.  We will be returning from photographing a wedding in Europe the weekend before, so it will be a nice vacation from that

I won't have Slinky with me this year.  I will just be driving my buggy instead and most likely coming in from Tahoe side.  See you guys there.

Mike, the form is in the mail.  I swear.
