nope...not even close to the tree.  Winch was already hooked for safety, drivers left rear tire dropped off the rocks and the truck went over hard....released the winch cable and it slid 4' over on the rocks...the 2nd pic show me winching myself upright, truck front slid over the 3' to get into the rut again, then winch upright, then lower myself onto the main trailway again.

fun day :D

No, someone had the balls to shoot that in mid-endo for some great action photo. The truck went end over and was totalled. That's waterfall #1 on Panamint. I heard he had to part out the truck and start all over. sheesh

This was a guy from Rubithon 2000, I think right after Buck Island.  It was a 4runner with 4 people; 2 guys and 2 girls, (in the back!).  About 10 minutes previously the girls had been sitting on top of the back seats when they went by us.

Trail was going from right to left (in pic).  He was trying to bring his drivers side up the rocks and rolled it, this all with no shocks!  Luckily everyone was ok.  No offense to the guy but after he was back on his wheels he bragged, "no big deal, I've rolled more than 2 dozen times."  We suggested maybe he pick a different hobby!!
