Let me say this....about language
« on: Jun 28, 2004, 10:18:52 AM »
There will be no swearing on this board. We may allow the sensor to cover a few here and there, but if you want to continue to spout obscenities, I will ban you. If you are offensive enough, I will ban you.

This guy was the first on the list. There were some others from a previous version of this board.

I have not been looking here much lately as I have been busy trying to produce product. So please use the report to moderator feature. It will be sent to all the listed moderators and be taken care of.

Have a nice day, Scott

Since I have been getting more complaints, I've opened this thread. I have noticed many people going around the censor. I'd like to see it less. If you can type, you should be able to use words that are civil. Remember the pen is mightier than the sword.

I too am guilty of this like many others, People, for our own good and the sanity of others lets try a little harder to keep it clean. P.S. I'm sure using the emoticons ( :moon:   :pokinit: ) in place of select words can be tolerated.  :blah:

Also, like has been said before use the words "as they are" the censor will filter them for those that want/need it.

Just to make it clearer, arguing or debating is fine, but when it gets to be nasty with name calling and so forth, it is over the top.

If I have been arguing, inquiring, debating, and describing things on the internet since 1994 without the use of swear words - then the rest of you can do it to :p

Intentionally misspelling the word.

I see. That's just lame.

Cursing on a board or in day to day life just shows how limited most peoples vocabulary really is. It is definitely disrespectful and degrading. Learn some wholesome new words people!

The main reason is that this board is not just that but it is also a business and some customers may be offended by profanity, nudity or other unacceptable acts. If you owned a business would you like it if someone came in cussing and swearing chasing even one customer out the door. That's pretty much the reason in a nutshell.

and opinions are like  :moon: everybody has one. You are entitled to it. In fact many many people have made the ultimate sacrifice so you "can" voice your opinion. Just like the owners of this board have every right to make any silly little rule in regards to it.

Glad to have you here and I hope you enjoy the stay!!!!
