So after sitting @ a worthless shop for nearly two years I took it out and speedy and I got it up and running

the major obstacle was that i was not running and we dint know why but we got to it and now it runs from here on im hitting the ground running so stay tuned kids

hell no haha ive just been busy the Marine Corps keeps me pretty busy at times....thats also the reason in sat in a shop for so long becuse i was stationed up in california for a while

well took a couple of days and speedy and I went to work on the ol 85

here are a couple of pics for your entertainment....this is of the ugly hacked up rear getting read to get some sheetmetal welded on for asthetic reasons

here is a pic of the sheet metal i shaped and cut to fill in those gaps, the other pic is of speedy welding them

we also made a rear bumper for it

these pics arent the gratest because I was the only one that took pics and usaully was busy and forgot to take some of the process and stuff haha but hey here they go anyhow...on the 2nd pic you can see that speedy was making some spring hangers to accomadate the 4" springs i got from marlin

my knukles were leaky so i got a service kit and went to work (i know i know the pics suck but i had greasy hands ppl)

and since the front axle was torn up i said what the heck lets upgrade

we took the bed off and the roll bar down and the lights had rust on them so i took em apart and sanded them down sprayed them with bedliner put silicone on em and put em back together...i made sure to seal em up good with that silicone

i apparently liked the smell of the spray because then i took the valve cover cleaned it up and added some vibrant color to it

and since the bed was off and i has paint to spare...well off we went on it

when i was sanding the passanger fender i noticed the antena was rusted and loose so i deciced to eliminate the problem

i took a scrap piece of sheetmetal and with the saw cut a circle then i used the grinder to size it speedy welded it and then we put some bondo on it to smooth it out

no more antena hole

the 2nd pic you can kinda see what the back looks like with the sheetmetal, bondo and paint on it

you can also see the sweet bumper with led's on it 8)

in the end of the little wrenchathon this is what it looked like....we did several things to it like the brake upgrade, rear bumper, new spring hangers, installed the 4" marlin leaf springs in the rear, cleaned up the engine bay from loose wires, serviced the knukles, painted it, put some 33's on and im sure we did more i just cant remember all we did...but thanks to speedy and bob the truck is in alot better shape than it was a week ago $Beer Chug\'n$

theres still alot i want to do to it but ill be working on it soon again just waiting for some parts.....i still need the front springs, need to install the shook hoops, shocks, put an exhaust on it (open header

) change the windshield get it registered, inspected and then it should be ready to drive
