Rather than start a new thread, I thought I would add to this one.
We had a wonderful sunny day here in the 30's. Just thought you all might like the view from my area today.
From the road a block from the house, that's the neighbors below me house in the foreground. Looking up towards Stevens Pass

Then it decided to split half way through, time for a cigarette and give the wind time to work its' magic. This is why a lot of people don't like cutting big Maples lol

I love using Maple for the smoker.

I've seen my fair share of barber chairs, widow makers and hang ups.  You just never know how the grain of the wood has grown, or if its rotten in the middle.
Miss ya Dean (4THEWKN) & Kyle (KYOTA)!!

Lucky!  We're supposed to get some nasty weather next week, kinda hoping it kicks winter in gear and we get some good wet stuff.  Probably time to dust off the old Stihl and install the new chain I got
RIP KYOTA

You can go through life being scared of the possible, or you can have a little fun and tease the inevitable.

Give a man venison, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to hunt Blacktail, he'll be frustrated for life!
