The first moth is a Spingid moth, also known as humming bird or sphinx moths. They are probably the most agile moths and they can also hover which most moths cannot.

Second two I am not sure exactly what they are. White one is in the family Noctuidae, or owlet moths. The last, strange looking one is a Pterophoridae, or plume moths. They are funny and remind me of airplanes or something.

Well, I actually went on a little vacation again to the ocean, here are a few pictures. Northwestern most beach in the continental US. Hobuck Beach is in the Makah Nation, the same people that give the environazis fits for hunting whales.

Cape Flattery Light at the point where the Strait of Juan De Fuca meets the Pacific Ocean. Canada is on the other side of the strait. There is a large cruise ship at the back of the picture.

I spent most the day in the woods yesterday.  Went to go cut firewood with BIL at the landing he's working at.  So we went to the landing, via Cook Creek, FB8, and a couple crossovers.  Then to nearly have his boss/Owner of the company, nearly run us over with a D8 cat.  And because his boss is loosing it, he's 80, and still micromanages everything, and he is wrong most the time.  BIL and his boss had words over some broken down equipment on friday, he definitely didn't want to see his boss.  So, we headed over to Triangulation, and down Smith Wright, to FB3 and then down to Miami-Foley.  Did about 40 miles in 4low.  I didn't have my camera because I don't take it when cutting firewood.  Or I would have had some killer photos to share.

Take a camera next time, lol.
Finished restoring my Coleman lantern made in 1963. This was my parents lantern that we used when I was a kid. It is an unusual one as it was only made with the big shade or "hat" for a portion of that year only.

Since the river wasn't open for fishing we toured around a bit. First we drove over Jacks Pass & down into the valley of the North Fork of the Skykomish River above Index. The road is washed out at a bridge near Index so the only way to get in here is over the pass on dirt roads. Lots of waterfalls.

After driving back up the pass we took Evergreen Mountain road from the top of the pass & proceeded to climb. Reached around 4200-4400 ft before the snow shut us down. The second picture is the road past where we stopped.

Some of the views from the road, there is still a lot of snow up high although you can't see it until you get up the road away. From the valley it looks almost gone.

This week I am starting to fall trees for my winter firewood. The 4runner really is a pretty good skidder, the 2 big logs were 16ft long, I had the front wheels almost off the ground skidding the butt piece. It went straight when I was trying to turn. The second section of maple is 28" in diameter with some big knots. I think the upper piece may become maple slabs. I really want to build a river table out of maple.

My neighbor has had it since high school, 460, 4spd manual trans. The early 70's truck behind it is rust free & pretty clean for the age.

I went & took a picture of it & the other one for you. They are not rusted, they just have the green/black crap all over them that grows all over your cars during the winter here lol.

I want that cc. That is cool. I kind of dig the bronco 2. Probably just the 8274 hung off of it. You have some cool neighborhood art. All I have is horses, tractors, duallys, and junk.
