New offroad park in west Texas
« on: Jan 03, 2007, 09:28:34 PM »
from the TMTC website   http://texasmotorizedtrails.com/

:attention:

TMTC Acquires Land for Second Park

It took 369 days from the time that the first TMTC representatives set foot onto this property outside of the west texas town of Ozona until the property officially belonged to TMTC.  The ~3,400 acre property is located approximately 25 miles west of Ozona and is less than a 10 minute drive from I-10 making access to the property extremely easy.

Although there are two water wells located on the property and a small hunting cabin, the vast majority of the acreage is untamed and very primitive.  There is a planning committee already formed in order to head up the use of any additional grant money and volunteer labor to develop this land into another prime example of an offroad recreational area.

soooooooo, do you know when the trails will be open??????  Or are they already open???  If they are...looks like I may be wheelin' in a few weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  If anybody would be interested (spread the word) I will try and get all the Alpine guys ready for a run (hopefully with some of my new Marlin buddies)!
