Not ready to see this one drift off the main page yet...

Some of us went to red lake this weekend, we took a bunch of little kids with us and fished and bbq and what not.  It was a bitter sweet moment,  knowing dean is gone is one of the hardest things I have every had to come to grips with.  But knowing that is where he would want us to be, enjoying the great out doors, intoducing wheeling to a whole new generation....we are doing our best to make you proud dean.

X2 on that one DK!  I wish my truck was running, I'd love to go for a drive in the mountains to think about the ones that have touched my life!  I still think about him everyday!

It is hard to believe it has already been almost a month since we all lost a dear friend, some of us closer than others, but none the less I think we all feel the same.

I am glad to see you are getting on with what makes you happy and trying to enrich the lives of others in the process.

I would like to know that everyone is at least trying to get back to some kind of normalcy.

It hurts to see this thread, but it has some healing quality's in the fact that we can all see that there are others willing to help through these emotional times.

I feel the love and hope everyone else does too.

This also reminds us all that life is not to be taken for granted and we should live it to the fullest while we have the chance.

BTW are there any pictures of the crawler procession or any others you would like to share?

Would have been there if we could have.

Bigmike took some pics, but not sure if he did of the trucks!  I got to meet Marlin, Bigmike, Donkeykong, Trackvino (briefly, but next time we'll share beers), and a couple guys that work at the shop!  Marlin kept talking about the wonderful pepperjack cheese that I brought down, that Dean took to him!

We have spoken to Ladonna's mother and to Deans parents about financail help,  THey want to express there deepest appreciation for all those that are thinking and willing to do so, but Dean and Ladonna had policies setup for this type of situation. So it will not be neccessary.

One thing that Toni(Ladonna's Mom) did mention is if you would like to help, send a card with a memory of dean and how he affected you to there house, that way when she is home recovering she can see the outpouring of love and have things to read.  Also include where you are from.  The address is below. Dont send flowers, atleast not till we know when she is getting home, I would hate to have people send a beautifull arrangement, only for it to wilt before she even got home.

Kingsburg, Ca 93631

I sent a card to this address and it was returned as 'no such number'

Out of habit, I keep looking to see if Dean has been online lately!  It was the only way for me to get ahold of him sometimes!  I miss him!   :rivers:  I know that LaDawna has come to the reality of this!  She has had to explain to people what happened, ie ~ life ins. co.  And it is really starting to sink in that Dean is actually gone!  I still think I'll see him post something up about the joking of who's got game with Bigmike!  I miss seeing the rivalry they had!

Is it possible to make this post a sticky?  I just don't want it to just disappear.  You think that's possible Bigmike, or any moderator?

My condolences to the family. When I was in the military and stationed in Seattle, whenever I ordered parts from Marlin, I always remembered to talk to Dean. He was always a great person to deal with when getting parts or tech advice. When I came home to Fresno I finally met Dean in person whenever I stopped in at the shop. He was a great guy to deal with and what made me stick with Marlin Crawler. The service he provided was unbeatable. Here's to Dean- RIP

I was thinking about him at the roundup, even discussed with some people about how last year we hung out and talked, how he bragged about his family so.

I know a lot of people on this board aren't believers, but I'll say this for myself and those who are.  I look forward to hanging out with Dean and sharing stories again someday.

I was also thinking about this before the round up and woundered if there was going to be any mention of it at the springs, maybe a moment of silence to show respects for a passing friend.

See what you did again. :rivers:
