Stuck in 4wd!
« on: Jun 05, 2006, 01:23:53 AM »
Hi all!

I have a problem in two mates trucks, Both run r series boxes with the electrical actuator to select H4, Both are stuck in H4!
One makes the electric motor sound like its shifting in and out but stays in 4x4 and the other has relay clicking when selecting 4wd but no clicking when shifting out of 4x4 and it also stays in 4wd...... So one is probably something mechanical come undone and the other sounds like electrical relay problem.
One is a LN130 4 runner and the other is a LJ71 bundera/cruiser.

Any info or links would be great!

Thanks!

Well.........

Found a broken vacuum hose on the cruiser, Looks like they go into 4x4with a spring and held out by vacuum.. SO thats good! :o

But the lux... We changed the front ADD hoses over and it unlocked fine so we can drive on the road... But.. there is always a but... the transfer box is still in 4wd... Perhaps the 4x4 controller is not switching to 2wd????

 :(

Sounds stupid but check your tire pressure in all tires. Make sure all tires are equal in pressure.

Good Luck
