FIRST let me explain the name.

My wife gave it the name. It is her mothers name. and her mother loved to ride in the first broncoII we owned.
So this is why she is named NELLY

all plans at this time are in the research stage. but I am open to any and all suggestion and information. job one is to clear the 30" bridgestone muds which where donated by the cheROCKee. I would say 2 - 3" lift but I have looked at about 5 to 10 sites and no one has a lift for a 4wd broncoII.

My teacher has a BroncoII lifted on 33"s, I'll have to ask him tomorrow what kind of lift kit he used and get back to you. His is still stock with the TTB and the 8.8.

i had a friend who had a broncoII about like that one but his was on 60's front and rear and locked at both ends and rolling on 38's. I'm not a huge ford fan but those look really cool when theyre all built up like that.

.... just to name a few.
how hardcore is this gonna be?  if serious crawling is in it's future it'll need new axles (dana 28 front, 7.5 rear)
the 2.8 is way underpowered and not very efficient.  auto tranny's are junk too. manuals not much better (peugeout)?

on a positive note the fenders can be cut out to clear like 36"s with minimal lift (2" or so via a spacer and block combined with low BS wheels)  they are a cool body to run and they handle better than most think. 

I suggest running the stock drivetrain with fender cutting and some 33"s and lower gearing.  tube bumpers and sliders.  check out some of the builds on therangerstation.com  and on pirate4x4.com  for more ideas.

i never get mad at someone giving me and honest opinion. oh by the way your truck just hiked it's axle on the forklift.  :rofl2:

NOW THAT'S WHAT i WAS LOOKING FOR !!!! but it is going to be my mild rig/DD. so probable just 2" lift fender cutting , and ????? cause I have a set of 33 TSL's and they are a lot of tire to clear. might sell them and buy some others.

Buddy back in highschool had one.  He had a 4" lift with a 3" body lift and I believe 35's (not sure) but we would pull in and out of DQ on three wheels all the time!  With the 2.9l motor and 5 spd.  We had fun!!

just FYI  my B2 was a 2" coil spacer up front with alignment shims and a 1.5" tapered block in the back + a 2" Body Lift and slightly trimmed the rear side of the front fenders.  those are 32x11.50x15 uniroyal MT's on 15x8 stupidlocks  8)
I'm going yota JUST so I can buy from Marlin more.

ok here's what I'm thinking . I want to sas the bbII and I'm thing a a Cherokee frt axle it is about the same width and coils sprung so i would only have to work out the trailing arms. and for that there are a couple of kits they make for Cherokees that bolt on to lift the veh. and lengthen the arms so maybe I could use that . or plan b use a leaf spring conversion kit and a toy axle.

and it would be cool if anyone knows someone who has SAS'd a bb2 that would be cool.

IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

go to www.broncoii.org. EVERYTHING you need to know about bronco 2's. A d44 out of an early bronco (pre-77) will fit nicely without too much fab work. :thumbs: I have a Mazda B4000 which is a Ranger, which is an Explorer, which is damn close to a B2. :beerchug:

i had an 84 bronco 2 the worst vehicle i ever bought, guess cause it was from an auction, and i rolled it a week later and sold it for 1/4 of what i paid for it, never gonna buy a ford again ever!

KS is pretty OK...are you in KS too?

no just spent time there @ levenworth NO NOT AS A PRISONER just passing thru on christmas leave when I was stationed in maryland @ which time I did visit CT so I know the differences

ok so what does your rolling have to do with it being the worst veh ever you can't drive so it's the trucks fault  :cheese: sorry j/k they are alittle high center a gravity but that can be fixed  :eyebrow:
