Rocksurfer, My family and I are sorry for your family's loss.  We respect anyone in the military in my family, and it is always sad to see when someone passes.   :usa:

To my friends here and around the world. For the birthdays missed, the walks delayed, the hands not held, for the boo boos not kissed...my most heartfelt thanks for your service.

To the family members of our military...the service you provide is no less valuable.

This is a tribute, not only to a WWII veteran but to the tradition of respect and honor among military personnel.
Seeing the headline I was preparing myself for a story of how the country has changed for the worse...instead, I find there is still good, still hope.

I may have served but I didn't give the ultimate sacrifice, those that have are far braver than I. :salute:

One a side note all of my neighborhood had small flags at the end of the driveways, and I mean every house!
