Quick and very good interior cleaner!
« on: Nov 29, 2005, 07:33:03 PM »
Just thought I would try something different today on my 94 Runner.  I had some stains in the carpet, door panels, and pass seat.  I used a mixture of automatic dishwashing soap and water.  About 1/2 cup to a gal. of water.  I used a washcloth and rubbed the mixture into the stains.  To my suprise the stains completely dissapeared.  I then cleaned all the plastic in the vehicle.  Afterwards, I noticed a cloudy haze to the plastic parts from the soap.  I took a clean white cloth and buffed the areas clean and you talk about VERY CLEAN!!!  Try at your own risk, I am not responsable if it does dammage, but it really made a difference in my ride!  Make sure you use rubber gloves, this strong of a mixture kind of burns any cuts or scrapes on your hands.  Dries them out bad to!!!  Let me know what you think if you try it!!!

only thing you have to watch out for is that you have left a lot of soap in the upolstry and it will hold dirt now.  it sticks to the soap.  i always open my doors and hit them w the hose...watch the soap and even more dirt pour out!
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5
