The Ticked Off Thread
« on: Nov 02, 2005, 04:45:36 PM »
Our newspaper has a Ticked Off section they do a couple times a week and it's always amusing to see what people are ticked off about so I thought I'd start one here.

Generally it is about the stupid petty things that tick us off in daily life. Pet peeves, as it were.

It can not be about anybody on the board. If it is about someone you know, you can't use names.

I'll start....

I GET TICKED OFF WHEN... you get out a new roll of toilet paper, or worse yet, have to start one at a public facility, and you can't find the end so you end up tearing half the roll apart all over the floor.  :tantrum:
Life is like a bowl of beer flavored chocolate covered dog turds.. it makes no sense. :pokinit:

you should either not answer the phone or tell them you already have other plans. But then, not living where you work would help. :tantrum:

Speaking of TP, I get really annoyed when you go to rip off a piece, and it doesn't come completly off, leaving this long assed trail of paper that's only 1/2 inch wide. How stupid is that.

As for getting called in to work, I don't have to worry, 'cause really I live at work, and just visit my home occasionally.

When I have to call customer service for something, computer, bill whatever, and hakim heridlebup doesn't speak english.  Worse yet is when they were born and raised here and you still can't understand them.....yea, you know what I'm sayin.  Ever call Dell computers?  I have several times and have never talked to someone that spoke decent english.  I somehow got into a conversation about this with a lady telemarketer I was tryin to get rid of and she starts kinda giggling, says "I grew up in California, I know exactly what you mean without you even saying it".

I know exactly what you mean.We should all gang up and sue them for false advertisment.Because not once in any of there tv commercials do they ever show a person who can't speak perfect english.I mean it's no wonder they having great customer support,They couldn't understand they where being cussed out.

someone told me this was to a thread i was invloved in, but i never saw it.  anyways if it is, i dont think anyone ever heard the full story or gave anyone a chance.  i know i never even saw the thread.  anyways, i hope theres no hard feelings.  anyone has any other things concerning it feel free to pm me and about it.  thanks guys  :beerchug:  didnt mean to offend anyone

That thread was about some of the kids on the board helping to distroy a stolen truck left out in the boonies by rolling it over. It evidently was a news item on the local paper to boot. Some got real upset with them since we don't want to be held in an even worse light by the general public. It is bad enough that the tree huggers use everything they can get their hands on to shine that spotlight in our eyes, we don't need to help them by holding the light for them.

That's what TICKS me off!!!

[rant]I read the thread and know what was going on, sure it was there and sure it had been there a long time and they had nothing to do with it being there and for the most part had nothing to do with it's condition but instead of rolling so they could get the axle off, they should have drug it to the street so the authorities could have recovered the vehicle and removed it from the area.[/rant]

[sticking with the topic] Not thinking about what they are doing  that's what TICKED people off.[/sticking]
