Hi All!

My first post.  A Yoda friend told me about this board and I was surprised to find a Jeep forum.... Great!  Bought this totally stock '93 YJ from a chick last summer for $2500... 4.0, 112K, 5 speed, reasonably clean.

Needed a lot of TLC  :biggthumpup:

Now if the pic will work....

Here it is after a little TLC...

Don't have any current pics with the top off.

I guess I'll be the first MJ to chime in...it's not much, but it's a nice looking Comanche.  I have plans for it.

Current drivetrain is nothing to be proud of, except that it runs perfect, no problems.

</img>

Current:
2.5L I-4
4 Speed Ax-4
Two Wheel Drive

Immediate Future:
Swap the Ax-4 input and bellhousing onto a W56 to give myself the fifth gear, as soon as I hear from Marlin that it can be done.

Distant Future:
Rebuild 4.0(I happen to have one sitting around), stroke it to 4.5 with 258 crank, cam it too.
Rebuid Ax-15 with NP231, and toss a 4x4 Front end on it with 3.55 in the diffs.
Air locker in the rear.
A little bit of lift, probably 2 inches.  And my welder buddy is gonna make me a home-made pushbar.

2.5, 4x4 D30/D35 3.55, 5 speed

Cool CJ.  Do you have a buildup on it?  I have never seen the springs mounted so close, is that for flex?   You should start  a buildup page on here, and put some more pics...

I did not build it, I purchased it the way it was for the most part.  I have gone through the engine, axles, frame, electric and everything  replaced what needed to be replaced.  I did that so I would feel comfortable with it.  I have a ton of wheeling pictures but non form when I went through it.

Thanks!!   \I actually might be getting rid of it soon for something just a little bit bigger.

So, I just spun a bearing in this:
<a href="http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f269/rokcrwler/myspace-4.jpg" target="_blank">

So now all I have that is wheelable is this:
<a href="http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f269/rokcrwler/myspace-3.jpg" target="_blank">

<a href="http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f269/rokcrwler/myspace-5.jpg" target="_blank">

-'88 Renix 4.0, crappy peugot 5-speed with synchros going out, K&N, 2 chamber Flowmaster dumped before axle
-3" mix & match shortarm with leaves not AAL's,fenders cut to fit 32" BFG KO's
-swaybar delete
-DIY sliders and front stubby bumper
-D30/35 w/ 4.10's (open to keep em alive)
-shaved rear and relocated upper and lower shock mounts
-winch bumper and 8274 being added as funds allow

Wife's DD, and family wheeler:
<a href="http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f269/rokcrwler/myspace.jpg" target="_blank">

-'98 4.0, Auto
-D30/Chryco 8.25 (29 spline) stock gears
-3" ProCrap, with 31" BFG KO's
-trimmed bumper valance and cut/folded rear quarters
-DIY swaybar discos
-K&N cone filter, TB spacer, Flowmaster cat back

Basically just a stocker that I don't wail on, then it stays reliable enough to let me and my kids enjoy the simpler trails when mom isn't looking.

When I get done with this:
<a href="http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f269/rokcrwler/newMyspacepic24.jpg" target="_blank">

I'll sell my beater and build a better rig.

It's also cracked between the 1-2 cylinders, so i'm not gonna spend a dime on it =(

I've got a buddy with a '96 4wd S10 (4.3 auto) that'll let me have his truck (low mile runner driver)for $500. So I'm gonna use that, my 'Runner, and my '84 shorty in the garage, to build a 4.3, toy 5-speed, duals, toy F/R, family wheeler on 37's. But I need funds and garage space first, so I'm parting the 'Runner and the shorty of what I don't need as we speak. (type actually)

I figure, if I run the 22RE, I'll have to gear it crazy low to wheel it and maybe not be able to take any hills, thus having to trailer it. But if I use the 4.3, I'll still gear it low, AND be able to drive to the trails.

We'll see, I'm still researching how viable/expensive it is to use a post '95 Vortec motor.
