Jeep Liberty 2.8L Turbo Diesel
« on: Aug 25, 2005, 06:27:53 PM »
In my internet cruisings I came across this photo of the hind end of a 2005 Jeep Liberty 2.8L Turbo Diesel. When placed next to the bellhousing from a 3.9L V6 AX15\R150F bellhousing, the bolt patterns look suspiciously similar! (That is, the same as the Chrysler Small Block pattern) Hmmm....

The part that sucks about this is it is all computer controlled and you will have to be carefull not to get it wet. I would rather have a older mechanical system that won't be so delicate. Would be fine for road driving, but may be problems on the trail.

not to mention you'd have to probably get a flywheel made for it, as you can only get the 2.8 CRD engine with an auto :hammerhead:

Naw, you could get an "export flywheel" from Jeep.  They come with 6-speed trannies in Europe.
