Topic: Does anyone know how to adjust the dashpot on a 22RE EFI motor?

I have a 87 4Runner EFI 22RE motor and had problems with the dashpot so I went out and got a new one from Toyota.  I put it on and on the information sticker under the hood it says to pinch the vacum hose between the dashpot and the VTV valve and set it at 2000 RPM's.  I did that but know my idle is way to high.  Did I adjust it wrong??  Has anyone ever installed one of these properly?
