I've had the rig for a little over a year now and I LOVE IT.  I was a Heep fan for a while until I started to realize what Jeep stood for..."Just Empty Every Pocket"  This saying couldn't be more true.  Just to get that thing to be capible to do the things I've down with my Runner cost me 4 times what I have into my 4 runner.  Anyhow Here it is tell me what you think.

This is what happens when you put aluminum lift blocks in.  It just happens that I broke them BOTH    over a creek and I couldn't move anywhere until I unbolted the driveshaft or else I would've busted it.

Sweet looking runner, i like those fenders bars.  did you do them yourself or have someone do them for you?

the guy I bought the rig from actually did them.  Funny thing is he is actually not teh best fabricator in the world but he said that he had a little help and they too 10 hours to do teh 4.  Trust me they work well I've used and abused them.  The drivers rear one actually broke off in Moab last year because it wasn't welded on that good.  I've had a to do some mods on it but all in all it works out great.  All of the body armor is tied it together so its a total wrap around system.  It also extends my wheelwell a little to keep the cops off my butt.

I got a picture somewhere I'll find it.  It actually flexed really well because of the offset and it BARELY rubbed.  When I did wheel with them I took the fender flares off.

I had that same problem with them P.O.S. aluminum blocks,except I was on an incline and the body of my truck rolled over the rear and pretzled my d-shaft! lotta work.nice rig by the way

NO dents HAHAHAHAHA I'll show you some of the dents the pictures are decieving.  That runner has been through the con 3 times and moab.  Plus I just got back from Colorado and put a few more dents in it there.

How are those Toyo's in mud?

From the amount of mud that I've experienced I've been please with how they do in the mud.  I'm not a huge fan of mud but for trail use and having muddy conditions they seem to do awesome in whatever I've put them up against.  I was crawling in a creek bed with pouring down rain and I was crawling up the rock with mud all over it like it was a dry day.

I would agree with you there.  Its just I have no other way to get it that extra 2 inches I need in the rear to level the rig out.  The only other way I could've even gotten close was to havbe 9 inch eye to eye shackles and that would be crazy mine are already 7 inches and thats really long.  If anyone has any cool ideas on how to get me 2 inches of lift without my blocks I'm more than happy to hear ideas.

What axles were under your jeep?


If you do blocks again, weld steel stock to your perches.

dynatrac d44 front and HPD60 rear with ARB's and full disk brakes and 5.13 gears

oh and I am planning on welding the blocks on still, I just got back from wheeling and I haven't gotten the chance to yet.  I don't know how well its going to work though to weld them because they are cast iron.  I'm hoping to go make some solid blocks at the machine shop where I work.  Just haven't had the time yet.

I just rebuilt the engine and I will be posting pics up this weekend.  This has been my first rebuild and I've learned alot.  I just got it started last night and once we put the water in it we found that the rear Freeze Plug was leaking.  I was so depressed because everything was bolted up then we found the leak.  So I pulled the tranny back out and pulled the freeze plug to find that we didn't clean the hole very well.  So after taking it back out and cleaning the hole I put it back in with some high temp silicone and am hoping that it will stay sealed this time.
