WTB: RF1A Speedo Gear for output shaft
« on: Dec 28, 2022, 09:09:11 PM »
I want to buy a speedometer gear that goes on to the output shaft of a Toyota RF1A gear-driven transfer case. Long story short, I had a driveshaft issue on the highway and it damaged the back of my t-case, along with the speedo gear so now the output flange doesn't run true. This is the last part that I need to replace, I hope... The Toyota dealer here is having trouble locating one.

It’s for an ‘85 Toyota 4x4 pickup with an ‘86 R151F transmission with a gear driven t-case. So I think any speedo gear from any RF1A gear driven t-case will work - W56 or R151. I was hoping someone might have one from the parts left over after building dual cases.

I attached an image of the speedo gear and a diagram of the transfer case to see where it's located (highlighted in green).

Just saw this thread. Thank you OVRAROK! (Yes we do have used speedo gears available, but definitely go with OVRAROK )

Also: I just realized I can't check notifications due to those lights, so I put them back to how we've traditionally had them, where they only appear in just this one thread: It's snowing

Regards,
BigMike

Looking forward to getting our forum software updated with more modern technology and better use on mobile devices (which I was hoping would have already happened) (still working on updating our main Store site first, and then afterwards, the forum )
