Like so many of us out there, I really enjoy watching sports... not all kind of sports.

NFL football, MLB baseball, and auto racing have always been my favorites.

Now that the kneeling at major sporting events during our National Anthem is going on and NASCAR technical inspector Kirk Price took a knee and raised his right fist during the invocation before Sunday's race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, I am sadly NOT watching ANY sports!!

The polluting and desecration of our American heritage and the core celebration of being an American citizen is disgusting.

Agreed, pretty much had already left all major professional sports behind except for NASCAR..... NASCAR is dead to me too now.

I have not watched a lot of sports in recent years primarily due to general life factors.

I’ve never watched sports with any expectations related to politics or patriotism, so within the framework of it being purely entertain I can’t say that I am boycotting anything in the current paradigm.

Due to the current and recent history of political drama since Obama took office, who by the way, blatantly promoted racism and division, while pathetically globally disparaging the USA for 8 years - sports as changed.  Watching sports for me has always provided a fun and exciting interlude to everyday life.  Watching sports embodies a celebrated patriotism with the Pledge of Allegiance, the invocation at NASCAR, the 7th inning stretch, and for some sports fans, the ruckus hockey stick bashing.  Now, with meaningless acrimony, the taking a knee injected into sports is such a distraction that the anticipation of a Monday night football game is trashed and just a disgusting negative downer when I think about watching a sports event.
