83 shortbed build
« on: Jan 25, 2019, 08:36:42 PM »
I'm 16 years old and this is my first truck. Took me 7 months due too weather and money. Most of the ideas came from the this forum and I have been very impressed with how it performs. Please feel free to comment with suggestions or questions. I am all ears to learn.

Did a rears up front using stock 2ND gen rears and my stock 1st gen rears. Hi steer. IFS steering box. Tacoma 5 inch springs in the back. Dual cases. square front shaft. Flat bed. Pacesetter header. More I am forgetting. Ask me what you need and I might be able to help.

Looks like a good start!  Looking at your front shackle angle, I would look into longer top leafs so it wasn’t so steep.  Maybe third gen?
RIP KYOTA

You can go through life being scared of the possible, or you can have a little fun and tease the inevitable.

Give a man venison, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to hunt Blacktail, he'll be frustrated for life!

That's what I thought but the front end has settled down a little bit so the angle isn't so bad and I have some more weight to be added on in the front.
