3RZ-FE Valve Cover Decal
« on: Aug 17, 2018, 06:37:00 PM »
Have a Gen1 Tacoma, or Gen3 4Runner with the 2.7L engine? Have you installed a 2.7L in your older junk? Ever wonder why Toyota didn't make a nice valve cover decal for the 3RZ-FE like they did the 20R/22R/22RE/1FZ-FE? Well, this inquiring mind also wanted to know. With my current 3RZ project I decided to take care of that, mostly for selfish reasons. Of course, just making one is silly, so I had a bunch made.

I have three flavors. One with a heavy chrome border, one with a thin chrome border, and one without a border. All are $8.00 each mailed within the USA. They are silkscreen printed onto a high temp chrome polyester with a permanent adhesive. Get them for your valve cover, rear windows, tool box, air compressor, or work bench. Heck, get one for your water heater. Just keep in mind that the material will bend around something in one dimension, but it won't mold to non-flat surfaces.

I take Paypal to ratstew@comcast.net. Shipping from New Mexico, 87120.

Please make sure to include your address, and tell me which flavor you want.

Hey Pappy....

Why is the engine sitting at what appears to be about a 5 degree angle from horizontal? :dunno:

Just curious. ???

Simple, it's supposed to be. The level on these engines is not the valve cover, but the power steering pump.

Jury is out since I've only been driving it for a couple of days. I didn't run the engine before and after. I can say I love this engine. I live at 5000ft elevation, and I put the SC on because it's not uncommon to travel to 10K+ in the Innermountain West. Also, I bought the low boost (4#) SC. I didn't want to get carried away and I wanted to preserve the engine as long as possible.

I kinda figured it was normal. But I have never looked under the hood of a vehicle powered by that engine.

The engine was rebuilt and balanced. Even the balance shafts were balanced.
