85 4Runner Soft Top
« on: Jul 20, 2018, 10:16:51 AM »
Hi all, Iím new here.  I had a 82 truck that I built into a rock crawler and an 86 4Runner daily driver that I sold to go to grad school.  10 years later Iím buying an 85 4Runner with an automatic transmission and the first thing I want to buy is a soft top for it.  I would like something durable and fairly easy to install since I sold all my tools 10 years ago too and will have to purchase all new tools.

I run a Killer Toy Tops (www.killertoytops.com) and have been very happy with it.  It's easy to install and the only downside that I've found is the frame doesn't collapse for storage very well unless you're willing to do some disassembly.  I have a spot in my shed that I was able to make due with for years and now I've been running it as the primary top for quite a while.  I had a few pieces replaced after about 8 years and the owner was easy to deal with and the replacement parts fit great.  I'd recommend them based on my experience.
1989 4Runner: Dual Ultimate (Inchworm front & Marlin 4.70 rear), Marlin Twin Stick, 1200-lb clutch, 4.88 R&P, Aussie Front, Detroit rear, 30-spline Longs, Long hub gears, ARP hub and knuckle studs & 35x12.50 Cooper STT PRO tires.  Marlin rear bumper & sliders.  FROR front bumper.  SAS with Alcan springs & Rancho 9000XL shocks.  Budbuilt Bolt-on traction bar.  Custom Interior Cage by Those Guys Rod and Customs.

blackdiamond is a paid-for shill! Don't listen to him :gap:
Keep it TOYOTA!

In the past years, I used to get a lot of calls from Jeep owners wanting to go slow like the Toy trucks.

I am not sure if I got the 0.00001% discount that I requested, though with rounding it may have been included.
