I don't see 3 days per trail as being aggressive. Last trip with a less capable rig in toe we made it to the springs by 5pm or so on the first day. This leaves us with a day to fool around at the springs then 3rd day up Caddy and out. Also yes we have Labor Day off so that is definitely our buffer day.

Sorry I read that wrong on my phone. I thought there was only two days per trail. Rubicon not as big of a deal but fordyce is a little more intense IMO.

so are you staying 2 nights in Tahoe 28th&29th?

Sorry I didn't respond to this earlier LO. My bad brother. We will be leaving from Rubicon Springs the morning of the 28th and traveling to Tahoe. We will be checking into our hotel, getting cleaned up, and hitting the town. We will then get some breakfast and maybe spend a little more time in Tahoe in the morning on the 29th then we will head to Meadow Lake to establish basecamp for Fordyce.

Got an update today on Jesse going with us.
He has now moved from the 50/50 to the 75% to 80% chance.
Service Manager approved the time off, now We just need to wait for the GM to ok it. I think it's going to happen!  :crossed:

I think meeting at the Eagle Lakes trailhead is going to be easiest. I'm curious about people camping at Meadow, what's the plan for getting to the trailhead?

Do we camp on the trail or is there a set base camp and you wheel in and out?

If you're not camping at Meadow like me it would be meet at the trailhead, wheel in, camp on the trail and then wheel out. Not sure which way guys plan on going out but I will exit at Commitee and go back down to Cisco, hit 80 and head back home.

So I realize now that I was mixing up lakes. New plan and what I originally thought I was planning. Will be to camp at Fordyce Lake near the committee trail. That will be basecamp.

I have just taken over the reins on this. "Make the Shout box Roundup great again"
Check out the game plan SqWaDoosh set in the earlier portion of this thread. Hopefully all the info will be there.
I plan to get everyone's cell number and stay in communication (group chat) once We get closer.
PM Me You cell Number when You get a chance.
The Washington Guys are heading strait for ryantowry_81's place then Meet up with all the other local guys someplace (Trail head, Walmart, or whatever works). At that point I will let one of locals lead the way. I prefer not to be in charge unless It's needed.
Don't any of You be surprised if SqWaDoosh jumps back in on this trip. There are a few rumors going around. Also You know if SqwaDoosh was to get back in on this His loyal sidekick Mudmaster will jump back in with both feet.

Makes Me sad your only doing 1/2 the trip with us Hog :(
But I will take what I can get.
If Ryan is cool with us all meeting at his place that’s ok with Me.
I was thinking maybe a neutral site so We don’t overwhelm Him. I appreciate Him letting us park trucks and trailers at His house. Just don’t want to take advantage of His kind Gesture.

Just don’t want to take advantage of His kind Gesture.

you guys are more than welcome to meet up at my place on your way out if you would like. I should have enough parking for 10 rigs plus the 3 trucks and trailers if we squeeze stuff in.  hopefully I will be done with my rig and the garage should be empty also if you guys have any last minute tweaks or checks you want to do.

If anyone going to rubicon with you is coming from the south it might make more sense to meet in auburn off elm st though so they don't have to drive an extra 30 minutes north to my house then back south to auburn to head toward rubicon. there is a savemart, cvs, starbucks right there off the freeway with a big parking lot I woul suggest for final provisions and a  Rowdy Randy's gas station across the HWY for a fuel stop if needed. after auburn there is only cool and Georgetown for provisions before the trailhead so I would suggest getting most in auburn if possible before heading out.

for those just doing Fordyce we could meet at my house or Colfax or grass valley and go up 20, whatever is clever.

Well I do not know exactly if I am still going. I start a new job on June 11th and then I will know what days I am off and not. I will have Vac time right off the get go so it shouldn't be an issue. I plan on myself in my runner, dad in his FJ and my buddy with his TJ. I will have more info in the next month.
