A much better start than the black Taco, this one's virtually unmolested and a beautiful blank canvas to express yourself on. Can't wait to see what's next.     I'm Kinda leaning in the same direction, just can't find someone that doesn't think their 80 is solid Gold or is clapped out.

I've had an 80 follow me everywhere except the rubicon (which I know he would have zero issues with). I'll be able to do everything I did with red with the exception of some really tight trails between the trees. Which I'm okay with losing those for what I'm gaining in drive ability, comfort, and space.

Absolutely.  We both saw Pounder go several places due to his wheelbase and non-leaf suspension that are much more difficult in a 4Runner.  I was thinking more about places like the Escalator and Mickey's Hot Tub that I would stay out of in your new rig simply because the margin for damage wouldn't be worth it to me.

Yup. With any rig, its going to be able to do things that others wont and not able to things that some can.

What has always blown me away about the LC wagons, 60s and 80s both is how good they can be in the snow.  Despite being quite heavy the front to rear weight bias seems to make them work really well in the deep stuff.

Place a vote or make a suggestion on the New trucks nick name.
Examples from the past "Old Red" or "The BBT (Big Black Taco)"

My suggested names. The White Elephant

A white elephant is a possession which its owner cannot dispose of and whose cost, particularly that of maintenance, is out of proportion to its usefulness. In modern usage, it is an object, building project, scheme, business venture, facility, etc., considered expensive but without use or value.

I like Moby, or The Whale, as was suggested in the chat box. The full name isn’t forum friendly.  Captain Ahab was hunting for the elusive white whale for revenge after it bit his leg off on a previous voyage. Seems like there’s an appropriate parallel here.

Fair enough. “The Whale” then.

I had another nickname for this rig.  I'd swear someone referred to it previously (in jest of course) as a minivan and since the wheeling rigs have been an epic journey for SqWADoosh and he has visions of taking it on literal epic journeys...

That's what gives it the needed element of humor.

Is there any reason for the name?  Any name needs a story.
