If you run lunchbox lockers you will surely break everything and more than likely die in a firey crash, probably taking several innocent people with you.  If you run a spool you are probably all ready dead.

Sorry I just always wanted to say that :)

Well I hopefully don't break everything at first or kill any nuns & I'm quite certain any wreck will end in a fire and my untimely demise lol

On a side note I just scored a new Japanese starter off craigslist  for $30.00 it's new old stock Jasco  Mine was as sketchy as Kirby vacuum salesman so I'm more excited than anyone should be about a starter

I had an Aussie in the back of my 84 with 31" LTB's and DD'ed it all the time and never had an issue. I heard the clicking once and a while and some chirping in real tight turns but nothing I would consider noticeable in a 30 year old truck.  I think for the price the rear aussie locker was the single best upgrade as faras capability went.

one note that I would mention is to read the install instructions for the proper gap needed for the smoothest operation of the lunchbox. It has been a long time but I remember there being a gap range that is ideal and you can add shims where the diff gears were in he carrier to get it right.  like I said it has been a while though sine I have done one.

I ran across my Aussie manual while cleaning out my files a few weeks ago and saw the gap recorded on it from the installer.
