Legendary Toyota History from 1995 Four Wheeler Magazines
« on: Jan 28, 2018, 10:29:21 AM »
I was given five or six Four Wheeler magazines from 1995 yesterday.  Here's a few pieces of Toyota history that I found while flipping through them.
1989 4Runner: Dual Ultimate (Inchworm front & Marlin 4.70 rear), Marlin Twin Stick, 1200-lb clutch, 4.88 R&P, Aussie Front, Detroit rear, 30-spline Longs, Long hub gears, ARP hub and knuckle studs & 35x12.50 Cooper STT PRO tires.  Marlin rear bumper & sliders.  FROR front bumper.  SAS with Alcan springs & Rancho 9000XL shocks.  Budbuilt Bolt-on traction bar.  Custom Interior Cage by Those Guys Rod and Customs.

Moab Tested & Rubicon Approved

It's those articles that sparked my interest in Toyota 4x4's when I was younger. My friends and I were building a 1973 firebird with the hopes to build a 200mph car for Bonneville & my $ & dreams switched directions from ultra fast to ultra "crawl" Probably saved my life, years later I did hit 170 in a 1991 Z28 camaro. If I ever get my yota built where I want it I may go back to the 200mph dream
