These are an awesome little one way valve that makes brake bleeding a one man job without needing a compressor or a vacuum pump.

I bought a set of those and couldn’t make em work.

I've been using them since 2004 and now my rig has rear brakes that work as designed.

Why not swap them to the front now that the rear is bled.

I'm rolling again, the brakes got bled yesterday and I sorted out all the little issues that come along with new mods excpt one. The left rear brake drum is rubbing on the backing plate and that rubbing will stopnwhen the steel and iron have worn away, I dont care and am happy as a pig in poops about it.
I couldn't go wheeling today but, tomorrow  I might run up to Rowhers Flats for a little play time on the practice rocks.

I tried using them on my clutch in my lancer, I couldn't get them to work either

I just received a huge box from 12 Volt Guy.com containing 2 switch blocks.
This was a surprise, I didn't order it but, he sent it anyway saying it is good advertising so I'm showing it off to give that advertising.

As you can see in the image from the last post I made yesterday, this stuff is already installed and I dont have a winch so now I have to buy one.

I had a blast today just running into Hungry Valley to the practice area where I got to put mud on my rig and use both E lockers for the E lockers 1st time.

I didn't air down so I avoided most of the sluice box but, I did climb the big hill with blocks & rocks and made it successfully with her idling in crawl gear, it was bitchin.
It was the 1st time I did any wheeling since October before I had my foot operated on and I had fun but, I need a real wheeling trip soon or I'm gonna burst.

There was a Land Cruiser guy teaching Jeepers how to use their bone stock JKs in a regular class he does, I thought they were "cute".
Hahaha, dude on top of the hill asked me if I'd park somewhere else while he was teaching these newbs and I said "I ain't parking here, just admiring your L.C. so have fun and later much." and then I went and splashed through the rapidly evaporating mud hole.

I'm in the process of removing the 3rd member to get rid of a persistent oil leak out of a stud.
I'm going to use a Time-Sert thread repair kit and install new threads in the added stud because the guys that modified my axle housing to fit the E locker used SAE drill bits to tap metric threads. I can't have SAE holes in my metric truck.

It is a PITA job because I still have a Frankenstein boot on my foot from surgery two and a half weeks ago so this job that should only take a couple hours tops is taking me at least a full day because climbing up from under the rig sucks, it's pretty painful standing, sitting is cool though.

Shops that hardly work on Metrics I'm thinking and this is a huge PITA but, it is a fix I enjoy doing because I have the tools to get it done right.
This is one of my many Time-Sert kits, 8 x 1.25

This is the job done and I finished it with red thread locker for the insert and thread sealer for the actual stud.
I can't have any kind of oil leaks in my rig, oil is too expensive and necessary inside, not outside. 😉

All back together and 4 hours later there is a huge puddle of oil leaked out of stud holes I really thought I sealed up with goo.

I am not doing this again, had it apart twice and still leaks so I called the shop that modified the axle housing for the E locker and told him this issue was caused using the wrong tools and he said bring it in next Tuesday, another week down.
Ed will fix it, I am just too beat up to go under my truck again.

When doing the modification it can be difficult to get the gasket surface flat enough for a good seal since it has to be built up with weld then ground flat. I like to finish it with a file to get it flat enough for the gasket to seal.

No gasket and just orange FIPG, no more issue. I use this on all diff unless under factory warranty. Then I have to do it by the book.

I dont use a gasket and do use Toyota black FIPG but, the guys that modded the axle housing for me used SAE drill bits for metric holes and that is the whole problem.
I have an appointment next Tuesday for those guys that caused the issue to fix the issue, I am not wasting any more of my time of FIPG to fix what they did wrong.

If I ever do another Taco E locker mod, I will do the actual fitting of the locker to the axle housing myself, I felt really bad handing it off to have it done but, these guys do my ring & pinion gear changes for me so I had them do the fitting also.
I only need the tools to do the job and I want to learn how to do a ring & pinion also.

Like I said last night, I will buy orange FIPG now that I know it exists and silly as it sounds, orange is one of my favorite colors and my neoprene work gloves are orange also.
BTW, black FIPG is what has been sealing my T cases for two years and front diff with no leaks what so ever.
I could've used Hondabond4 and it would work the same as FIPG, it's all the same stuff with different pigments.

False statement.

Wheeling this weekend up in Gorman and going to Calico the week after to do some proper desert rock crawling, gonna be a blast.
