Hi everyone, in preparation for installing my R150F into my Toyota, myself and a friend pulled apart the gearbox to check the condition. I then gave the case a clean, but when I have gone to put it back together I have found that I didn't have a detent ball and spring to go into the hole pictured.

I went to a local wreckers to see if I could pinch one out of an R150F that was still in a car there, but it had no provision for one. The friend who helped me pull the gearbox apart used to rebuild gearboxes for a living, and said that it is possible that there was never one in there. I bought the gearbox second hand for a very good price so who knows really.

What I would like to know, is firstly, should there be a detent ball and spring in there, and secondly, where can I source another one?

Thats not the rail detent.  Theyre in the plate.  And the reverse detent is inline with the b/u light switch

Thanks Gnob. So do I need to worry about putting anything in there?
