My buddy Dane got a little 4x8 utility trailer with the axle flipped thrown in with a Craigslist Nissan 720 pickup. I was trying to see what he would take for it and he just gave it to me! I have always wanted to build a light trail worthy trailer for fire wood, camp hauling and mobile shop duty, but I've never had time to start one. To tell the truth, I have been pickup-less for about a year, so I actually need something like this.

The lights don't work, the fenders kind of flap in the wind, the tailgate doesn't stay on and it has little dinky 14" tires. It is light enough that I can barely tell it's there on the highway though

Went to see my other buddy Clifton, local tire guy, who contributed some 31s I gave him last year (my old treadwrights) and some wheels. Went down to Napa and tried a few different drop hitches and BAM! Now it sits right and looks bass ass. Tires won't pop on a rock either which will be better than the tiny balloons that were on it.

Tried some stupid stuff and found that I can get way crossed up in wheeling positions and the trailer works well for that. All of our other trailers get stuck in banks and high centered but no this thing...

This Saturday I set it up with our generator, welder, box of hand tools, chop saws, etc. and tied the mobile shop thing on some gates. This is really cool. I found I want some kind of fold away vice on the side. I'd like to make "sliders" for it with a couple jerry can spots. Maybe a spare tire carrier on the side and a place for the welder tank to get strapped into securely.
