1988 Toyota 4Runner - GM 5.3L V8, 4L60E, 37s - $19k
« on: Sep 30, 2017, 06:15:10 PM »
As much as I don't want to, the time has finally come to sell my 4Runner.  A growing family means I need to change vehicles.  I have had this truck for 10 years and have done the majority of upgrades and customization myself, along with the help of my father and Matt Thompson at 3D Offroad in Colorado Springs, CO.  This is a very custom truck and although there are other 1st generation 4Runners out there, I have never seen or heard of another like this.  This truck can do it all.  I have driven it across the country and back without issue.  I have towed a 16' camper to Moab, UT, wheeled all week, and driven back without issue.  It has done all kinds of trails from Pritchett Canyon in Moab, UT to the Independence Trail system in Penrose, Colorado with many in between.  I currently daily drive this truck just because it is so much fun to drive.  It will drive 80 MPH down the highway no problem.

This truck has too many upgrades to list here but I'll try to give the major details. If you are at all interested in learning more about the truck please don't hesitate to call, text, or email. I have a comprehensive list of everything that went into this truck that I can email or text if you would like all the details.

-GM 5.3L V8 (62k miles)
-GM 4L60E automatic transmission (26k miles after full rebuild)
-Dual Toyota 23-spline transfer cases (26k miles)
-Front and Rear axles have Detroit lockers and 4.88 gears

-Front custom 3-link suspension with HD radius arms and ORI struts
-Rear spring-over-axle Alcan leaf spring suspension

Wheels and Tires
-37" Goodyear MTRs with Kevlar
-Raceline Monster Competition aluminum beadlock wheels

-Armor all around
-Fiberglass fenders
-Garvin roof rack (removable)

-Pioneer head unit and speakers
-JL audio subwoofer and amplifier

Again, those are the major upgrades that have been done. There are many more details I can go into if you are interested.

I also have various spare parts that will go with it.

I have put a video on youtube that does a quick walk around of the truck. Just search "1988 Toyota 4Runner walk around: Chevy 5.3L V8, 4L60, ORI struts, radius arms" and it should be the first video there.

Asking $19,500 OBO

With enough time and money, you can do anything. Too bad I don't have enough of either.
