So if you are thinking about getting one of these adapter plates, and installing it into your rig, this is pretty much how it's done. only differences are my holes are already cut in the floor for the extra shifter, and my drivelines are already modified to the correct length. so here is a pretty simple list of what I had to do. there might be a few extra things on this list because I also decided to replace my transmission while I had the T-Case out. I had an issue with the transmission a few years back and stuck some 'ol random core trans in there and now is the time to replace it. I will note these things in RED so if you are just doing a t-case install, ignore all the stuff in RED.
1.) Remove Shifters
- Pretty straight forward, remove the shifter knobs.
- Remove shifter boots.
- Remove the t-case handles. Under the boot, They have a c-clip holding the shifter in place. Remove the c-clip, and the
handle should pull straight up.
- transmission shifter on a R150F is a push and turn. under the round boot on the shifter is a locking device. push down
and turn counter clockwise pull straight up.
2.) Remove Cross-member
3.) Drain Gear Oil
4.) Remove Front and Rear Drivelines
5.) Remove T-Case
*.) Remove transmission (If desired)
6.) Remove old adapter plate
