Topic: What would you do... 88 4runner.

Picked up a 88 4runner, with a 3.0, manual 4wd. The 3.0 has a blown head gasket. Would you put a 3ZR or 3.4 V6? Really don't want to fix the 3.0. I've already decided to SAS the thing. The plan is to make it a daily driver, and weekend warrior, plus a back up vehicle.

3.4 bolts in place, a little more power and torque. They last for what seem like eternity. I'd go for the 3.4.

I think the 3.4 will be an easier swap in a 3.0 rig

I would 3.4 it for sure. way less work
