As requested I will post on the performance of the new tires. I will need to trim the rear and also make a firewall modification. So have patience with me lol. All in all the tires are mean looking and expect great results

Would love for you to document how you do the firewall tub on the front. I'll be doing that pretty soon myself.  :headscratch:

Dana 44 full width and 12 bolt rear. I am in the process of building a 14b FF. And just deciding on what beadlocks I want right now. I will also convert the front to 8 lug I got a donor 10bolt 8 lug  front for the spindles out.

So talk to me about how your D44 has been holding up to that big of tires? My new truck is coming with a built D44 and I want to go to likely these tires or an equivalent. You confident its going to hold up?

It's out of a 70 3/4 ton chevy. And there is a difference in the tubing thickness from 1/2-3/4 ton. If I knew I was going 8 lug in the future I would have kept all the 8 lug stuff from that axle in the beginning. Inside is Yukon chromo shafts and Yukon super joints. 5.13 r&p with ARB.

I have 100% confidence in that axle. Have never had a problem. The rear I am skeptical on so that's the reason for the 14b.

Well :pokinit:. If that big heavy 2nd gen runner isn't breaking anything in your 44 maybe I'll be alright. Only one way to find out  :driving:

Would love for you to document how you do the firewall tub on the front. I'll be doing that pretty soon myself.  :headscratch:

Have you consider moving the front axle forward more? It'll likely atleast require you moving the steering box forward and drilling a new hole in the axle leaf mount. Just a thought, i'm on 40s and still running my stock front fender liners. I like the leg space inside the cab and clean inner front fenders.

It's already 2" forward and I had to notch my body mount for my steering box already. I think the firewall will be easier lol, thanks for the input tho

Yes that is the ideal plan. Going to depend on some factors though.

So made the first run and hit a little mud, the tires clean out very good and the traction is insane. I can't wait to hit some boulders with them.

What tires have you run in the past? Stoked you are saying the traction is insane.
