When you come out if the Azusa mud by climbing a mud bank and find the rear wheel wells still on the tires was a bit alarming. Both rear shackles collapsed due to being worn out badly.

I am installing new 2" shackles yesterday and today, PITA.

Next year I'm going with rears up front but, other mods are a bit more important now like the high steer going in next week then re gearing, new axles & burfs and hub locks.

all I see is new, longer shackles with a horrible angle on them.....

I feel like one thing killing your shackles is the near vertical angle. Rather than cycling front to back as the spring flexes, they may be taking a vertical beating, elongating the holes. What kind of springs are you running? I know the pro comp/superlift/cheaper springs seem to run into this issue, while the better springs usually have a little longer tail that achieves a better angle.

You will not be happy with that shackle angle long term. You could drill some holes making them shorter to try and relax the angle.

She has the cheaper Pro-Comp springs for now and next year she gets rears up front and new lockers, I do not want to hear an auto locker anymore.
This week she is getting high steer and new shock towers up front.
Next month she'll get more stuff.

If this is the angle of the shackles in their neutral position,

Shackles when on their neutral positiom should be angled away from the spring like this

With you running longer than stock shackles, your springs should be flatter, you might measure the springs, along the spring and eye to eye, it looks like they may be the wrong springs.

Pro comp was the first set of springs I ever ran(on my old 1st gen)and they were terrible. The OP's pic is how mine sat as well. My rear shackles would invert all the time and slap the frame, they just did not do a good job with there Toyota springs I guess lol

Next year my springs will all be bigger, longer and stronger.
Until then, these will continue to work good enough to get me through any trail we've attempted to date.
Right now she is getting new shock towers and cross over high steer then she gets her new gears, axles, burfs and hub locks.

The cutting is all done except the torque arm chassis mount which will be off before I finish this update.

Man oh man, she looks good except for the front springs being about an inch or two too short but, next month I can afford new springs and they will be rears up front.

I actually do have the part number somewhere, let's see if I can find it.
I have the hi res image to this image and you can read the part numbers from the stickers.

I'll send you a hi res image and you can decipher it or wait until my buddy that gave them to me lets me know what they were from.

The operation was a success and my truck now has proper steering and good enough for now suspension up front. What bums me out is I couldn't find the gusset brace for the top of the front axle, I lost it in my garage.

I'm happy with how she worked on the freeway but, it was too late to go into Hungry Valley to do some flex testing and get some bump stop measurements so I'm going back in the am on a Monday.

I took her back up to Gorman today and flexed her out finding the measurements for bump stops and had fun playing on the obstacles.
